Centers reporting to the Vice Provost for International Relations
The work of the Office of the Vice Provost for International Relations (OVPIR) has steadily evolved in order to reach its goal of "Bringing Cornell to the World and the World to Cornell." In addition to its other cored duties, the OVPIR oversees the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, Cornell Abroad, and the Cornell International Institute for Food, Agriculture and Development (CIIFAD).

Languages
Cornell has a prominent tradition in language teaching of innovation, organization, breadth and dedication. Languages are taught in nine departments and units, all in the College of Arts and Sciences:
Library Resources
The Cornell Library offers outstanding collections and specialized staff dedicated to international studies. Library collections currently include nearly 1,800,000 volumes, one million of which concern Asia, the remainder Africa, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Provost's International Research Internship Program (PIRIP)
The Provost’s International Research Internship Program (PIRIP) is designed to allow qualifying international students (undergrad or graduate) to conduct research on campus under the direction of a member of the Cornell faculty for periods of six-months or less.
